Was at Hoylake today for the practice round. If the wind continues to blow like it did today, it will really favour Rory who can shape the ball both ways into the crosswinds. However what a round today by MacIntyre in that wind. One of the rounds of the year.

Really like Matt Fitzpatrick’s odds. If the wind blows, a great short game is going to be required and there’s not many better than Fitzpatrick around the greens. That’s why my pick is Cameron Smith.

I've put an E/W on Ancer as he looked strong. Smith and Cantley are my major bets.

He's some talent - we played together in the same school team and caddied together at RLGC in the summer months during our teens.
I remember being pleased with myself after shooting +1 gross around Royal Liverpool, and then he walks into the clubhouse fuming, having levelled course record (65 gross) after three-putting the last.

Interesting leaderboard, so far. If Scheffler can putt like this for 72 holes, he's probably unbeatable.

Having played the course a few times I can't tell you how annoying that inwards out of bounds is!
