I recall all the games, we competed in every 1 of them, not 1 of them we got smashed.

Nobody bottled anything, we were just found wanting.

Didnt see much bottling going on versus Utd in 2009.

But a better manager would have won the game versus City being 3-1 up.

Ah, so one semi defeat was appreciably better than another despite being up at the halfway stage in both? One against an excellent team and one against Liverpool.

I'm not mentioning Moyes. That's pretty weak bringing him as a reason why Martinez wasn't a bottler. Worse one was Palace at home.

That the same final we had a half fit Saha, no Yakubu, no Arteta, no Jagielka and Lars Jacobsen making his 3rd appearance of 3 for us because Hibbert was barely fit?

We got beat 2-1, hardly "rape", as Ian pointed out we lost our 3 best players prior to that final, it was always gonna be a struggle.

Moyes was a bottler, his big game management was lacking, but he knew how to grind out results, Martinez was an utter clown, who simply does not understand tactics or what it takes to get results on a consistent basis.

To be fair Martinez is managing a very decent national side whilst Moyes has messed up at Utd, Sociedad and is now dragging the life out of Sunderland with his negativity....Saturday aside ha ha.

Moyes is on more Money than Martinez.

He got sacked from Everton and there was a 2 month period and numerous jobs going. He got linked to Derby and that was that. A manager at his age should be at club level if he were decent enough.
