Big fan of Barkley's goal against Newcastle, lovely pass from Lukaku and finish (POW!) from Barkley. His first at Goodison too, makes it all the more special.

...no contest, Barkley v Norwich. Had to make half a yard of space then thunderbolt with his left foot. Truly magnificent and worthy of national goal of the month.

Seconded. First game of the season, under pressure on the edge of the box, shifted the ball onto his "weaker" foot then let fly into the top corner.

As good as Bainesy's were, I think the fact that it was from open play must swing it Barkley's way.

I prefer nice team goals. For that reason Barkley's at Norwich (loads of passes beforehand I think) and Newcastle (lovely ball by Lukaku) are my favourites.

But Leighton Baines' freekicks were such a supreme display of technique you can't help but marvel at them. The second is unstoppable; perfection. It has to be that one.

Season only started midway through August so they're lumping Aug & Sept together. But imagine if we had goals like that every month to vote on!
