well, sort of...they've all passed on but the band continues as a sort of tribute act. Saw the real deal live back in 2000-ish...am a bit of a fan.

Was Steve Hillage with them then. Great guitarist. Saw him as a solo act in the 70s at the Empire.

Gilly was french, band-leader Daevid aussie...the instrumentalists a mix of all over the shop.

They were based in France & England, mainly...had a weird rivalry with Magma....light vs dark, Daevid once called it. I love both!

Sure I saw Steve Hillage with Gong in the Avalon Field or something random like that about 20 years ago after dancing to some klezmer.

yeah, him and Tim Blake (legendary synthmeister of the 70's) were both part of Gong's heydey during their 70's peak.

Hillage now part of System 7, who played GLADE stage yesterday.
