Also there are a select few fans of olympiakos who live outside Greece who adore Valverde the coach of Olympiakos. They have noticed abdoun getting more minutes than Fetfa and instead of questioningt his judgement made up a pack of lies about fetfatzidis. The most famous ones are in order of use:

1/ He did not do enough work of on his body (muscle training) in the summer (I know it is weird one, but there you go..welcome to the world of teenage weightlifting Greek diaspora..)

2/ He is too busy going to night clubs and signing autographs to be a true professional -(this is the Greek classic, used on many a player when they are unexpectedly dropped by a coach - who himself is never questioned about having favorites of course..again no evidence is required for this rumour to get strength..)

3/ Lazy. Does not try hard enough when he is on the pitch, (unlike his competitor Abdoun, who is 20 shades of **** worse than even Samaras!)

4/ ..too selfish (another classic used when any attacking player is dropped in Greece. Was used on Neri Castillo also to great effect).

5 Needs time to mature.. to young, could get ruined, needs more bench time.. (Probably the most used of all Greek diaspora fan excuses when a player is dropped. Again, unfounded, backward and the kind of philosophy that has helped many outstanding Greek youth never develop their potential while old has-beens on expensive contracts get all the minutes).

What you will rarely hear:

Coach has favorites and this player is not one of them.

Maybe there are some Everton fans who try the same stuff on young talents? I heard one or two on here say Vellios is 'not ready.'

Another player decimated by poor coaching in Greece was the mightly talented and hugely classy player called Ninis, who was abandoned by Henk Ten Cate and Peseiro for absolute garbage when he should have been starting every game. Munoz gave him time and he shone so brightly, all of Europe noticed..than the new coaches came.. All the usual excuses were used as to why he was dropped until the coaches were discovered to be **** themselves and fired - Take your pick from the above excuses to protect the coach before hand however.. they were all used time and time again. The favorites for Ninis, (who could unlock Roma at the stadio olimpico as a teenager *see below) were...too young...to small...needs time to mature as a player..

Greece has an absolutely brutal record with youth and that has not changed with fetfa. If Vellios was not with you, trust me he would be rotting in Greece..

I watched the first one and then got distracted by this, and I just couldn't help clicking it.

When i worked in Paros they kept telling me about Tsiartas. I'm sure we were linked ? may have been Kendall ?

He looks great and is a great prospect.

Translated from Moyesian language: he'll never start a game for the first 7 months of his career with us, after which will be sat on the bench for a few months, pronounced "not ready to play" and everything possibly related to flair in his game would be banged out of it.

Only been to Paros once for 10 mins while waiting for another ferry. Looked very nice though!

Tsiartas (also often called lazy by greeks) was my favorite player of Greek origin. He was an absolute master. While he was in Spain, his goal to freekick ratio was untouched and he was competing among players like Rivaldo and Roberto Carlos.. They have taken down his youtube vid of all his goals at sevilla..if you like football..players like that are a pleasure to watch.. If he had a South American name instead of a Greek one, he would have become one of the richest players in the world.

I wouldn't mind us signing every talented U-23 player from Greece :) Katidis, Monalos, and Fetfa lead by Vellios would be pretty cool!

Everton to be the new greek national team!

The problem with the young Greek players is that very rarely do they make the transition into being consistent top class players. Happens every time. Must be something in the feta.

Anyway, where was I heading? Olympiakos einai skata rae. FORZA PAOK. Gate 4 you bad Athenian tits.
