Isnt it meant to be Fulham?

I said on here we maybe have a potential agreement after just randomly giving them Alan Stubbs, doubt it now though.

Id be over the moon to get him although id have concerns about his attitude, that could be sorted out with a decent club like ours.

Undoubhted quality, Prem player, with youth on his side, we've been credidited with a long standing intrest, i wouldnt be surprised if it was us, in fact iwould be surprised angry if it wasnt. It sounds like us with a view to a permenent in the summer. Intresting that Kissock went on loan yesterday and a simliar player positionaly coming in.

Ive been banging the drum for this lad and kightly for years now.

Did anyone see the goals he scored against Utd.

Lets see if Moysey lets anything out of the bag at his press conference.

Why it seems a reasonable one to me.(y)

Why ? Because noone's suggested that he could be going to Everton, because Moyes has said he's no longer looking at bringing in anyone, and because there's no way that Barnes has any of the qualities we need to improve our squad. It's just not going to happen.

Moyes had given up signing anyone and then fellaini arrived. Go figure. hmmmm, could it be media hype, could it be diversionary tactics, or could it be some of us never give up on hope.

Either way, good thread with positive overtones.

Worth a contract untill the end of the season??

Has a lot of quality on the plus side i think there is a prem player in him! On the down side has had his problems with injuries (yes that word again) and i always thought his attitude was poor!

Would people take a punt on him given our situation?

I probably would untill the end of the season with a permenent deal in the offing if he does well.

Derby have confirmed midfielder Giles Barnes is leaving the club after having his contract at Pride Park cancelled by "mutual consent".

The 21-year-old now has the opportunity to find a new team with immediate effect, although he will not be eligible to play until the January transfer window opens.

The midfielder, who made 95 appearances for the Rams and scored 13 goals, made his debut for Derby in August 2005, having just turned 17 and graduated through the club's Academy system.

Boss Nigel Clough said: "We have been in discussions with Giles for a few weeks now and we believe it is in the interests of both the player and the club that he moves on to pursue a new challenge.

"It is unfortunate that his Derby County career has been hampered by injury for the past two years, but Giles is a determined character and we all wish him well in the future."
