Gibbo has a lot of room to improve but there is potential there, but there is context: his game time has been limited elsewhere and as such his development in achiveing his potential has been limited - there is defo more to come.
I have seen him in games for Ireland take on a more playmaking role, he defo has that in his locker and can be more effective in advanced positions, that said he hasnt really been given that role at Everton yet. Im not saying he will ever get anywhere close to what Arteta did at Everton, but he has good offensive/attacking qualites in his locker. I think Moyes is just bedding him in at the moment askinghim to do a funtional job for the team centrally.
A couple of points:
The lad has a PL medal to his name.
Our results with him in the team are impressive.
He is likely to be at the Yoyo's this summer.
He is prob about 60% of the player he is going to be in the future.
Which by my calculation means he'll be 10ft tall by the time he reaches his full potential - awesome
