Getting old

Just had a pee and am going to bed .. fuming because I know I’ll be up at 4 for another pee

Went the loo when I went to bed. Woke up middle of the night and went, then went again when I woke up at half 7.. it's beyond a joke! Didn't have a drink yesterday after about 7:30pm either..

Another one for me is needing reading glasses. It's driving me mad now because it's a new thing. Seems to be getting worse week by week..

I increased the text size slightly on my phone which should be handy! However it doesn't work correctly on this site... It picks random threads to increase the size for!

No back issues suggests you’re short.

That has been my secret weapon - never had a day of back pain! exception was when the Dr prescribed Statins for my cholesterol and i could not exercise for the back pain. Even at the lowest doses I cant tolerate it. Its not a bad thing, I suspect they'll figure out Statins are causing dementia some day soon.

Yeah, I gave in and bought reading glasses that I only need for small text (phone and some books). Wore them for an hour or two reading a new book and it feels like my eyes are getting tire when I'm not using them.

Turns out my parents were right and that I'd eventually go blind if I kept doing.....that.

I take calcium+magnesium, cod liver oil and iron tablets every day.

Still falling apart like.

cod liver oil gels. Which brand is best for strength and value? Also, some repeat like crazy on the stomach.

Does anyone else have a regimen of over the counter supplements to keep old age a little further away?

Just seen this (ironically), I too have recently started wearing glasses for reading/phone/computer at work. I was finding it more difficult focusing on reading emails so visited my opticians, he was really good and instead of milking me for ££££’s he told me to go Home bargain and buy a cheap pair of readers as my prescription wasn’t too bad, I paid £1.49 for the most game changing bit of kit of my life so far I can read everything now clearly…. Only downside seems to be that my sight seems to be getting worse without glasses the more I use them… it’s like putting kryptonite on superman’s eyes

Spotted them about 4 months ago,bought about 10 pairs.
Got em all over the flat.

They’re a godsend mate…. Only problem I have now is making sure I have them wherever I go I may have to invest in a few more pairs

I've got em in my jackets so I'm not caught out when I'm out and about,
Especially at the bookies.

I used to get mine from Poundland, I'm up to about 4.00 now though and they only go as high as 3.5

Mine went from 1.25 to 4 in about 10 years, I have bi vocals now as I couldn't spot the numbers on the back of the shirts when at the footy
