Yeah... It's a difficult one really. I used to back him to the hilt as I didn't believe we'd be able to get in any better for the money we had available, but he's completely gone off the boil and isn't under any pressure to succeed as we never bring anyone in to seriously challenge him.

'keepers buck the trend in that they aren't going for massive fees, as we've seen with Stekelenburg recently for under £5m, so I think it's time we seriously looked at bringing a "proper" 'keeper in to challenge and ultimately replace him.

It's a shame, because he and Donovan brought us a lot of exposure in North America, and it'll annoy those new fans to get rid of our American influence completely, but if he's not good enough then his nationality isn't a factor.

I'v always thought of Howard as a decent keeper, no more, no less, but it was never a priority position because of that.

But his performances this season have been woeful to say the least and the position of goalkeeper definitely needs addressing.

I'd like a new keeper just don't know who, Butland is young but looks like he could be a top lad.
