I dont see why we wouldnt fill the stadium to capacity? Maybe not week in week out, but so what if the stadium is 3miles away or whatever it is.

There's the dream - first sentence. We haven't got that many fans who would turn up week in, week out, regardless of where we play. Do you imagine that there's a latent demand from 'ordinary Joes' in West Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire actively contemplating going to watch Everton 'if only they played in a nicer stadium'? Or perhaps they've never heard of Everton but a new ground will raise our profile and persuade them to suddenly develop an interest in us? The only new fans that we might get are the corporates, who may presently be a bit sniffy about GP (understandably so in the case of the tent, based on it's form and location rather than any comment on the service and quality).

As you raised the distance between GP and Kirkby, it's 5.4 miles according to the AA route planner (Goodison Avenue to the junction of Bewley Drive with Valley Road via Fazak). Slight variations in start/end/via options may produce marginally lesser or greater distances - for example, via the East Lancs rather than Valley Road. 'As the crow flies' will doubtless reduce the distance, but not to less than 4 miles, but there might be a few short-cuts for the thousands of cyclists amongst us.

Also, the point about Moyes - you're right he could very well leave, but its more than likely that he wont leave yet, how does that make me a "dreamer", its just much higher probability

I was referring to your description of the Kirkby stadium .If we where paying then possibly we would design to our requirements, but if tesco pay the piper they call the tune and their shareholders are not interested in us .also how often is Goodison sold out so where are all these extra fans to come from, moving to kirkby wont alter the allegiance of the people believe me I would love to agree with you but all I can see is contradictions to what is said and what is reality, we have to pay any over budget payments as far as I am aware no stadium has ever come in any where near budget so more debt on top of of the fixtures and fittings so already we are in debt for a stadium we wont own and only have minimal input.i honestly think it will fall through anyway.But between them Bill ,Bully and Liverpool council have badly let us down

there is a petition on .gov website to stop rs using stanley park, i know these things dont usually produce anything but then they dont get many people bothering to sign them, anyone can start a petition and given that rs have been given preference over us a suitable petition could maybe get us somewhere, as i have stated before the minister for sport and culture is an everton season ticket holder and i am sure that he alone could scupper the rs plans to build in a place that we were told couldn't even be considered. we dont only have to voice our protests etc to efc or the council to get results there are higher channels to go through.

It's more than his job is worth to block the rs stadium plans just because he is a blue.

He's only the minister for Culture, Media and Sport, his job has nothing to do with planning and the likes, he cant stop either private companies - them building on the park or stop us going to Kirkby. Back in January he said he would be meeting our club 'next week' to discuss our move as he loves Goodison Park (Just as BK says he does), his silence has been deafening since and Kirkby progresses.

it's got nothing to do with planning, it's to do with the use of parkland by a private company, a public space being used for corporate purposes, and that is an area that his job covers, it falls under the culture part of his job.
