I'm not, I was merely questioning the logic of attributing every death from "deprivation" over the course of 150 years to the British. Or, to fully understand the impact, what was the rate in the preceding 150 years?

Yeah. It's very dodgy stat.
Like saying how many deaths are directly related to Conservative party policy over the last decade.

My great grandad was killed by British forces in Dublin so there was no 'liberation' happening.

I don't hate the Germans or Italians, several family members died because of those.

Whats your point? That you hate England so will come here and support a team based in the country you hate and boo the national anthem then probably cry when you get booted from a private property and banned for life... which they are 100% within their rights to do?

If you are certain about the way they behave, you might be able to tell my why Britain still occupy six counties in Ireland? What gives them the right?

Ye but you aren't speaking their language. My country has only been its own state for 100 years and our language is spoken by a small small percentage of the country.

And you were owned by the Vikings for 400 years. Also much like the Jacobite revolution in Scotland, you seem to be blaming just the English and not the Irish who supported them too.

My mate is from Galway, he speaks Irish first. And it's compulsory taught in schools up to 16 IIRC so ...

IF I felt the way you did, I've got too much pride/stubbornness in me to support a team in a country I actively despise. Or do you only support the non-English players?

I agree with ye mate my birds Irish her and especially her uncles are big republicans and what Britain done was [Poor language removed] it’s boss how the Irish done somthing about it it’s a pet hate of mine though that point scoring though that goes on same with rs when they start singin Munich and then go off one when mancs start singing about hillsborough

Possibly Chico but this is a one off that hasn’t been done for seventy bleedin’ years, I usually sit the Anthem out but will stand silently for this one, a full sixty seconds!!

My sheer hate for monarchy grows with each passing comment/report/social media post.

I would rather the club focused paying a huge tribute to 9 year old girl who was laid to rest yesterday after losing her short life in the most horrific way than some 'kin 96 year old woman who has breezed through life.
