You don't speak Viking because of the Liberation of Ireland from your slave masters in 1167. Guess no gratitude for that. Without the English you'd have been exported to Norway for significantly more than the 400 years you were.

You can choose to move to Galway and speak Irish if it means so much. And I doubt speaking English is entirely down to William of Orange (Dutch person FYI - I imagine you don't hate the Dutch even though he is a significant factor.)

I guess you think the Highland Clearances in Scotland and the destruction of Scots Gaelic is 100% down to the English (wrong, actually down to the Scots gentry in the main.)

Rather than direct hate based on misnomers and common fallacies, you should read the actual history of your own Country (including the significant portion of Irish Slave masters in the Caribbean during the Atlantic Slave trade). Guess that's the English's fault too (recall, slavery abolished in England in 1107.)

I think this...there'll be a few dissenting voices but some will make out (and desperately want to believe) that about 9 people shouting "Everton" during a minute's silence was actually over 35,000 people booing in unison.
