I think the minutes silence should be ok with a few boos as expected. The national anthem will be interesting. Don’t know anyone who would/will sing it.

As a historian, please can we have sources for these figures.
Any good historian would be able to argue that British had both a positive and negative effect in colonial rule. Before obviously suggesting the strength of evidence lies one way or the other (usually based on prior bias related to your political persuasion).
The Indian 'great famine' of 1876 was a re run of the Irish 'great famine' of 1845.
A colonial boot on the neck.
This famine lead to 8 million deaths but some estimate it was multiples of that.

Again in 1943, Colonial wartime economics lead to the Bengal famine. Another killer of millions.

I don't think its strange at all for there to be a minutes silence for the queen. There will however be 2 national 2 minutes silences accessible to the vast majority of the country within a little over a week. Them also mandating these to be held within football grounds is what irks me. All other crowd silences, or showings of solidarity, almost without exception, are decided at a club level.

Truth is, I'll not be booing or making a single noise during this nationally mandated minutes silence/moment of reflection and public mourning period, as some people would get upset if we were to do that and the would never be an aim of mine. I'll just stand dead eyed, wondering who will score the first goal and what colour will they wear. I will never however sing GSTK, nor will I be applauding on 70 minutes.
I think you will probably spend the minutes silence wondering which player will be starting, after the injury we got in the warm up.

As others have said, respect the minutes silence completely. No need for the National Anthem though, which I think will be booed. Clapping on 70 is a joke.

Of all the cringey thungs that have happened in football recently, this “applause“ at such and such a minute is among the two I hate most.

And I don’t care what the reason is.

(the other is teams wearing change strips in away games where there is literally no colour clash)

I genuinely hope nobody boo’s. I am not a royalist but you would effectively be booing the death of an old woman. Regardless of her occupation that is a bit rank. Dont stand up would be a far more tasteful protest. Booing just brackets us woth the mutants across the park.
This...

I remember us observing the Matt Busby silence impeccably. Agree with the royals or not, she meant a lot to many people.

This isn't the time for protest
