Gerard Deulofeu

Deulofeu should be first choice on RW Mirallas should be cover. Lennon should be moved on and replaced with left footed winger who can give us balance on LW. He needs to play games regular to get a rhythm going.

He will be playing regularly.

At AC Milan...

... In the reserves.

He wouldn't be very good. The PL is the best and hardest league, not only of football, but ANY sport in the world.
Messi is waaaay too fragile to make it in the English Premier League. Ronaldo did OK, but he's a bigger bloke and even then, Man U got rid of him when they got a decent offer.

Aguero and Zola are tiny and still tore the prem up... and Man U didn't get rid of Ronaldo ... his dream club offered a world record fee for him... they would have him back in an instant if they could... Messi is the best player in the world and one of the all time greats. You can't tell me he wouldn't be very good in the prem.

Spain U21 is totally different mate. Plus he plays atrocious all game everytime he plays for them. His nickname over in Spain is Gerard 'Chupon' Deulofeu. Chupon means 'doesn't pass'

He's talented mate. He should be up there with one of the best but he's showing no signs of that whatsoever. I'm struggling to see what he's improved since his debut for Barca B. His attitude has let him down, everyone in Spain knows this. We even have some Barcelona/Spain based fans on this forum, ask them

Everything about this is amusing. Stop being so obsessed with Spain and Barca.

Firstly, that's not his nickname, Chupon just means ball-hogger. It's a semi-insult they called him when he was younger but it's not his 'nickname' in Spain.

Secondly, even if that was his nickname in Spain, I'm not sure why that would have more weight behind it than watching him play for us, where his main attribute is...er...his passing.

Thirdly, why on earth should we ask Barcelona/Spain based fans opinions on Deulofeu when he's been playing for us for three of the last four seasons?

Getting massive @fcbarca vibes here. Stop whinging that your favourite Barca youth player hasn't become literally the next Messi so that you can smugly tell everyone you've been a fan since he was 11.

10-15 points imo.

A few quality additions in Jan however, and i think it'll be a lot smaller.

Realistically, this season was all about getting top 7/8.

Seventh is still on. We just need a few additions to ensure that, and hopefully string a good cup run together.
Yep. I think the football is horrendous to watch but the goal this year is 7th-ish. We can revisit this all in a years time as long as we aren't in a relegation fight.

But selling Deulofeu is a massive mistake I think. Kid has all the ability in the world, just needs games to showcase

Such talent needs to be nurtured.
I am sure he will make it big, just a shame it's not looking like it will be Everton.
When brought on as a sun he has often changed games. Been less successful when starting games, but that is an experience issue.
Can only wish him well.

we aren't selling him

and no, he's had plenty of time to show it. He hasn't 'shown it' enough

Yes his talent has really shine, but he's been eclipsed by others.

I think there are few in the league capable of doing what he does on a good day.
For a period last season he was really creative and provided lots of service to Lukaku.
I suspect he would perform better in a higher tempo team than we were last year. The style may be moving closer towards suiting him better. Hope he stays.

Nothing like building a team on power and pace, sure you need the odd sprinkling of talent in there, but its a good plan, we have complained for ages about our soft underbelly, lets see if people wanna mess abar when we have 11 monsters on the pitch.

god i'd love us to turn into a better wimbledon from the 90's. Would love to see an everton who takes no prisoners, we're utter pansys atm.

If he does happen to go out on loan, there is no reason he couldn't come back a better players, look at Moses at Chelsea been loaned out a few times now one of their most consistant players. As I've mention many times when the core of the team is sorted that would be when we would see the best of players like Del and Barkley.
