Gerard Deulofeu

Deulofeu to be sent out on loan or sold but Calvert-Lewin is somehow an "impact" sub right now judging by how Koeman is using him.

Just plain stupid Koeman.

Decent statistics last season but not getting any time on the pitch at all this season:

Seems like so long ago that he was the only player who could whip in a cross for Lukaku to get on the end of. Guess we won't be seeing that again anytime soon.

What on earth is wrong with Deulofeu?

He was so good to watch before.

He'll not get a better chance than with us.

Maybe he will. Maybe he'll go to China.

Theres nothing wrong with him...he did well in his last outing and then has been sidelined by the hoofball merchant manager who is playing global stars such as lennon, valencia and on occasion Cleverley in front of him.

At least if he was playing we would have one entertaining player in the team.

Obviously Koeman mustn't like him, Del might not show it enough in training or react well to being dropped etc..

I'd deffo have him as an option but think Del needs to play week in week out which he won't get here as he is too inconsistent!

If he leaves to a so called smaller club and is there main man and starts every game, he'll be boss!

I really like him and want him to reach something close to the level he seems to be capable of but inconsistency is a huge problem for him. 3 managers have decided to drop him more or less permanently so it's tough to get on Koeman for it

Yep. I think the football is horrendous to watch but the goal this year is 7th-ish. We can revisit this all in a years time as long as we aren't in a relegation fight.

But selling Deulofeu is a massive mistake I think. Kid has all the ability in the world, just needs games to showcase

Such talent needs to be nurtured.
I am sure he will make it big, just a shame it's not looking like it will be Everton.
When brought on as a sun he has often changed games. Been less successful when starting games, but that is an experience issue.
Can only wish him well.

He gets chances and has the nurturing of dipping in and out of the first team, the player cannot even manage this Just does not take chances when they come his way and does not work harder enough off the ball, a basic requirement of Premiership footballer these days, hence Lennon and Valencia get in front of him.

Shows me Koeman is too lazy or short term focussed to develop him. I'm convinced there is a class player there.. I think there must have been a personal coming together that has caused this.

He's in the same situation as Barkley IMO... only ross has been given games... he's been dropped by managers ... but like I said is still getting the chance to turn it round... I wouldn't sell Gerry... not yet... he showed last season what he is capable of given 7-10 games. He showed it in his first season before she done his hamstring, he has also (unlike ross) worked on his weeknesses and looks to be putting in the work and trying his upmost to improve... he looks hungry (and knackered) and looks like he knows he's at a good club for him and wants to succeed.

Depay is left sided or central...so is Lookman.

Are we going to go the rest of the season with lennon and dcl on the right side?

Very likely with Coleman overlapping, by far our most effective right sided attacking outlet. Not being able to cover him when he is on his escapades and not generally offering much more than the right back is always going to leave you playing the supporting role or on the fringe as with Deulofeu.

Koeman wants wingers who cut in and shoot, not pansy around with it on the touch line throwing their arms in the air when someone stands on their foot.
I feel Geri would be better deployed more centrally, but he himself sees himself as a touchline hugging winger.
