So Martinez didn't play him and Koeman isn't either. Maybe he's just a bit crap?

The attacking ability he posses is clear for everyone to see and he also appears to flourish when playing for the Spanish U21 side.

So I would say it's unfair to label him as crap. However, he's been unable to cement a position under either Martinez, Koeman or Emery in Spain.

It would therefore appear that there an issue; be that application, consistency, fitness or possibly some form of questionable work ethic.

While he could play a huge part in our success if he applies himself, until the rest of the team is on track I seem him currently as a luxury player.

You could fairly argue that he may need an extend run to find his form and fitness, yet what if he doesn't? Can we afford him ambling around?

I worry that although he has great potential ability, he'll struggle to ever transform this into consistent performances in the Premier League.

Hence why Koeman and others have utilised him as an impact sub or a player to bring in under rotation. He's not going to start regularly however!

In all seriousness Deulofeu is a frustrating figure. Sometimes he looks to be at premier level, but most of the time he is woeful. If RK is looking for better that's good, it's whether or not we can attract better is the question.

Was the best winger today whilst also being not great.

I like that he at least tries different things, he's a faster football thinker than our other players and even when something isn't coming off he's at least causing some problems.

Won us a few corners, which to be fair are absolutely dire and need sorting out.

He took a terrible shot from distance, but it was boss because nobody else would dare do something like that...
