he was amazing - a bright light. If he can stay injury free it'll be such a great season. Decision making has come on a ridiculous amount, he still beats players but always releases the ball, even if its just a pass to the right back

Excellent last night. He will annoy the bejesus outta us now and again but he is an out and out winger and it's in a wingers dna to do that. Like some have said his decision making was key. When to run at defenders and when to cross. They put 3 on him at the end last night

He did something I've not seen from him before last night. He put a first time cross in; and we scored from it.

Both his attitude and his decision making looked so much better than two years ago; granted the opposition weren't great, but some of the feints from standing starts were exceptional. I am genuinely encouraged.

Lukaku looked to anticipate that early cross for the third (?) goal too. If he can read those early, near post balls in better than he did two years ago, he will score a million because Deulofeu is magnificent at them.

....I was pleasantly surprised by his sharpness. He was fantastic last night, Lukaku's goal ratio can only increase and he seemed to link particularly well with Barkley.

He changed the game last night. I know it was "only" Barnsley but how many times in the past have you seen us struggle in games like that and we have brought on subs who continue to be ineffectual? He proved his ability and class. It will do his confidence a lot of good. What I like about him is that he will always try to keep running the line and getting a cross in. If we can keep him fit, he will be a key player for us. Lukaku should score a bucket full from his assists.

Class last night, looked like making a goal every time he had the ball despite being double marked.

Rom was loving the novelty of good service from the wing!

That's wingers in general though to be fair. You can pick out plenty of games from Hazard, Sterling, Robben, Bale, Ronaldo (before at Real) where they've looked atrocious but they're still quality players.
