Don't think that's correct. They only had to pay more if they used this option this summer as opposed to last.

Truth is I'm not sure anyone is 100% sure, it's all based on one Martinez interview and there has been no mention of it by anyone else at the club since.

I read that if Barca take him back he has to stay in thier 1st team squad for a whole season before moving him on. We then still get a cut of that sale.

Where was this stated and how much more? Can't see them doing it unless they can guarantee Milan will pay more for him than Barca would pay us.

Thats why its reported all over, that MIlan are talking to Barca and not us.

That's one game against an average opponent.

Nobody doubts he can do a job, the question will always be if he can do it consistently.

He doesn't/didn't get dropped after every game though.

I don't get the romanticism over him. He is a talented lad who seems to have major issues adapting his game when things don't go his way.

And the results since the Watford game immediately proved it was the right decision.
