I'm sure Del has a real stamina issue, maybe asthma. I've never seen a professional sportsman get so out of breath so quickly as him, and that includes Bill Werbenuik after 20 pints of Dark Mild and 60 Woodbines running up a hill with his laces tied together.
Even Kim Bassinger wouldnt get drunk on dark mild mate.

Mate, my seat is a decent spec not far off the touch line in the Paddock and the times I've seen Geri bent double absolutely gasping for air after one ten yard run is frightening. He's got paper lungs.

I've seen this too and it's really odd.

Each player has everything worked out for him by a team of specialists - doctors, physio, fitness, diet etc.

His constant lack of fitness, points to either off field stuff - ale / fags / beak or a medical / health problem.

You never hear of any off field stuff naughties and from his social media persona, he seems like a model pro.

Unless he's smashing the beak and ale at home, it's got to be something medical.

Or could it be as simple as the fact that he's a lazy get, who doesn't train properly.

Whatever the reason it's blizzare that a young lad can be this unfit,

Been hammered for saying this before, but he's also pretty slow for a winger. He rarely beats his man to put a cross in. That's why I came to think he might be more suited to a number 10 role.

My money is on the bit in bold.

Don't know why fitness is such a big issue for him. If we are unable to offload him in the summer I wouldn't be too upset. We all know he has great ability and I still think he could do a job in the squad as an impact sub against teams that park the bus.

Yeh I'm in the paddock too and I've seen it I just think it's weird how in depth medicals are but yet he's passed them all for some massive European teams. Definitely something weird going on with him. Wonder if anyone here has ever seen him play for Spain U21's where he's captain and seen the same thing?
Watched him quite often for Barca B side and fitness didn't look an issue then.Maybe the Prem is just too physical for him and Sevilla under Emery played at high tempo which he obviously can't handle.

People are still continuing to delude themselves about this guy's ability, putting his crapness down to a lack of fitness or something. The truth is that he can't beat a man, and seldom gets a decent cross in. People are still hanging on to that period in which we battered Sunderland and Villa in quick succession a few years ago, which was also something that kept Martinez in a job for much longer than he should have been.
