Yes Gerry has his faults, still loses the ball cheaply on occasions and his decision making ala Barkley still needs work, but no one can deny the lad makes things happen. We would have lost that game last season no doubt. He nullified the threat of brunt who dared not cross the half way line for fear of Gerry exploiting the space behind. Another 2 assists after his goal last week will do his confidence the world of good.

His one trick was to get to the end line and cross...differently level of crossing on display. That ball that Ross should have scored on was brilliant.

But he's come back and really become so less selfish, it's doing him and us wonders.
I had my doubts about him but he's had 100% the right attitude since coming back.
You're probably right & I'm overthinking it. A pass to Barkley just seemed like the most blatantly obvious decision to make. The only blemish in an otherwise brilliant performance.
