Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

ESPN has it as 16 games (total), 3 goals, 9 assists.

And he had a "poor" season.
8 of those was where when he played at the end of games. He started off well with good ratings and that's when most of those stats where posted but still not getting as much game time as he would probably have liked and then it all went pair shaped around the end of November.

Which was about the time the press where running stories of "dreaming of moving back to Everton" - which at the time we didn't exactly give much credibility to.

After that the relationship with the coach just deteriorated and his playing time and performances just got worse. The reality is that his confidence will probably have taken a kicking in the last 6 months plus it would be hard to play for a coach that doesn't believe in you. I would imagine it would lead to him either trying too hard or giving up and not trying at all.

I think we forget sometimes that they're people who are standing on brink of realizing their dreams. The stress, pressure and self doubt at times must be enormous and that explains why young players are so inconsistent.
