Anyone who's does any kind of background check on him though would know he's highly regarded but has lost his way, not just a Barca B team flop who can't make the grade.

Like I said earlier we love to believe the postive stuff but are quick to jump on anything negative, this just looks a little to prefect at the moment for £3m when other clubs are said to be interested.

I'm not his biggest fan but any club would be crazy not to be interested in a young winger with his skill for £3m even the likes of City, Chelsea or Utd, just seems a little far fetched to me.

Maybe so, but the stumbling block with those kind of clubs may well be the buy back clause that Barca are rumoured to want in any deal in case he turns his career around

That is still much cheaper than most of us would have expected a week or so ago.

Doubt anyone expected we could get him for less than £8m never mind euros.

Also, Barca have buyback clauses for most of the players they sell. So no doubt he'll have a cheap buyback clause if he did sign.

If he comes here AND he impresses enough for them to activate a buy back clause then I'll be one very happy bunny.

He'd have to be playing out of his skin to interest them enough to take him back, which would surely mean we'd see him in Royal Blue for at least a couple of seasons ?

Pienaar was similarly cheap and was raved as a hugely-promising talent when he was just starting out in Holland. His stint in Germany sort of reduced his value and that's where we stepped in.
