Gerard Deulofeu - Once a Blue, always a Blue

Delofeu is playing like any player who just hasn't had enough game time. His touch, decisionmaking, and pace are all way off hte pace.

I would love to see what McGeady is like with some game time then.

For me Delofeu showed again today,that surely he will be a sub next week,mcgready did more in his 1st min or so than Delofeu did in his 58 mins,getting more and more frustrating with him myself game after game,still want him for the 2nd season though

I don't think it's his strength that's the problem. His skill is enough to warrant a place in any prem side imo... but ONLY if he learns how to use it. I just hope it is a learning thing though, and that next year we'll see him integrated into the team better

He was awful today. Clealry can't croass on his left as he checked back inside everytime. houldn't have been played there but what wound me up today was his CBA attitude and refusal to tackle

I think i'd rather blame Martinez for his ineffectiveness today. He clearly wanted to use Deulofeu as an inverted winger and wanted him to cut inside and attempt to shoot on his right - in the same manner Lukaku (who is left-footed) was on the right wing against Arsenal. Clyne simply got the better of him every time. He did well and got in a nice cross the one time he meandered out onto the right. Shouldve swapped wings permanently after ~25 mins.
