He's meant to be the next big thing out of the Barca youth academy and one of the biggest talents in Europe in his age group, he's already played for the Barca first team. If he was leaving them they'd be a number of far bigger clubs than us who'd take him in instant

He's not leaving. It's a loan. In this case Barca wants him to go somewhere where he'll get playing time. Which between Spurs and Everton, would most likely be Everton. Spanish speaking head coach, most likely a system he can quickly adjust to, why not us?

Kone's the type of player who could win you a big cup game (as proven when he gave us all nightmares at Goodison last season). Right now the £6.5m or thereabouts we're apparently paying for him seems extortionate but if we win a cup or finish high then no one will give a rat's arse.
