That was a dumb second yellow. I can only assume he was still unsettled by Costa's nuzzling and sweet nothings whispered in his ear like they had just finished having it away.

thought he as immense tonight, shame about the red, but tbh the rest will prob do him good and we now get to see Besic & McCarthy and can play without too much pressure.

Think he was great again today unsettled Costa so much he barely got involved and normally always scores against silly second yellow but once again proved how important he is

Poor distribution tonight and held onto the ball too long a lot of times but defensively read a lot of things very well.

He really does my head in, such a talent but slows us down so much at times, wanting to take a touch too many or to try something tricky when a quick touch is on ,(even a foreward ball God forbid)! Few prime examples of this tonight, hoping upon hope he will eventually learn, and if he does could be absolute world class !

It will be immediatly so i believe he will miss our next 2 games as he gets an extra game for it being his second red of the season.

What a season he is having. Not even arsed about the second yellow. He can have a well earned rest and come back fresh for wembley.

And what a class act in trying to diffuse a situation which could obviously get very nasty for Costa.
