Perfectly sums him up for me, I thought he was an absolute crapper until you sign him and actually see what he does.

I was in that camp too...got a better idea of him as a person when the OS had that darts series of videos. Calm, confident, slightly cocky...translated to the pitch, too.

You'd think Sky or the BBC would make a bigger fuss of a legendary player like Barry retiring .
He may not be the best midfielder or left sided player ever but the amount of games he has played at a consistent level is incredible .
He never played for the RS or Utd though so I shouldn't expect so much .
When Giggs retired , the whole of the BBC news room wept .

A Proper great player for us - you only really missed him when he wasn't in the side.

One of my best memories of Barry was the windup job he did on Costa against Chelsea. Think we won that game 2-1,but Barry was glued to him, made small snide fouls, grabbing and pushing Costa who was visibly nearing complete eruption until he threw a wobbler and got sent off. Excellent player, astonishing jawline, might make a good pundit
