Calling into question a referee's integrity? It's Clattenburg for ****'s sake. Next we'll be hearing of bans for players calling Suarez a racist ****.
It doesn't matter who it is.

I don't understand how a player thinks that's acceptable. I mean fair enough saying stuff like '**** off ref' or 'what the **** was that for?' But calling him a 'thick ****' is well over the line.
Law 12 states that, "A player is sent off and shown the red card if he... uses offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures."
Clattenburg isn't a bad ref - yes he's made some very bad decisions but which ref hasn't??
He can be heavy handed at times but I don't think he is a bad ref
Besides, it's not acceptable to say that to anyone
Should have sent him off.

Referee's who call footballers by their first names aswell, winds me up. They should be refererred to as 'number whatever'. From little clips I've heard, for example they'll call Gerrard Steven but not be as personal with lesser players from lesser sides.
