Daenerys has always been a crap character. Unconvincing and in the early seasons her scenes slowed all the episodes down. I think a better actress was badly needed.

that's got nowt to do with her one dimensional acting though spud...

cersei plays her role much more convincingly.

Dragons are old hat now. Pyar got no time for them. And they cost bare dollar dollar every time they appear. Meaning other aspects of the show aren't as well funded...which brings me on to my next point.

Considering the story to come, it was a nice opening episode. As fan service you wanted to see characters interact with each other before many of them predictively die at some point.

I have a feeling that rather than the series ending with white walker's Vs humans it will be lannisters Vs whoever is left. Which will be very underwhelming.

Calling it now , whoever ends as king/queen will end the show by saying in the game of thrones, you win or die.
