GALLOWAY ON ABOUT ABOUT A NEW CONTRACT

If Galloway is going to be a Left sided CB then RM's comments about Matty Foulds seem odd saying how he fills the gap we need for one.

Anyhow, I'd hold off until the summer to be offering new deals to lads who've played a dozen games. Let him at least prove himself over a season before telling him he's made it!

All this contract gubbins puts to bed all argument about will and or does Galloway deserve to be hooked when Baines is full fit...aka
yer getting hooked lad, but we've given you a sweetener on your contract to take the sting out.

oh and if you want you can do a Garbutt and go on loan.
your call.
no?
no way boss I'll take the money.

From Martinez a short while ago

I think Brendan is ready to play left-back at this level,” said the Blues boss. “After 50 games he could play centre-half.

“At the age that he is, 19, every day is an improvement and every day he’s getting better.

“I do think as a centre-half you’re the last man before the goalkeeper and you need to be ready for that and have that experience.

“Sometimes you can do that going out on loan but Brendan is too good and too ahead of his development to do that.

“I think he could learn his trade playing another position.”

Seems to me that the boss sees him as a centre half getting some valuable Premier League experience in a slightly less important ( defensively that is ) position.

Perhaps you get more money as a centre half, so BK has told Bobby to give him a new contract quick before he plays as a centre back?

Just saying like..

The lads got his head down, taken his chance and done well.

He deserves it.

Absolutely. Out of the seniors (surely he's considered one now) he's probably on the lowest wage by a distance. It's probably only fair he gets a 25k - 30k per week deal now in befitting his status as a Premier League player.

Some people are gonna call that 'crazy money' for a 19-year-old, and in some respects, they'll be right, but in context, £25 - 30k per week is at the lower end of the Premier League wage 'spectrum.'

He should be given Hibbert's wage on top of his current contract, then Hibbert relieved of his duties.

To be fair, he didn't play much left back at MK Dons either, did he? I thought he played mostly as a holding midfielder for them.
