Everton must cough up big for Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago.

The Daily Mail says Gago, the 23-year-old who has been linked with Everton, is up for sale at Real. He had been assured of his future and guaranteed more games by coach Manuel Pellegrini but his outspoken desire to play has pushed the board the other way.

Everton will struggle to find the £7.5m required to buy him — while any loan approaches are being frowned upon.

He will cost alot of money but if we have the money i hope we take him. His just 23 and allready has alot of expriance. If we cant afford him i would love to loan him.
 

Surely we need another CB first, even for allowing the return of Jags, Yobo will be off to the African Nations. I suppose Johnny can play there. But I think our defence needs a bit of quality added to it.

Just say bollocks to it and buy the lad.

We've already had a [Poor language removed] season and our ground move kicked in the teeth. About time the board gave us something to smile about.

I'd prefer Van der Vaart and I think he could be persuaded to come, given previous statements from his side.
 
I would have thought wide players are more pressing at the moment.

In the middle when all fit we'll have Neville, Rodwell, Heitinga, Arteta, Cahill, Fellaini, Osman. Should be plenty there to do the job.

In wide areas by contrast we have just Pienaar, Billy and Gosling (maybe Osman)
