They already have Saliba, Luiz, Mustafi, Sokratis, Chambers, Mari and Holding.

If they sign Gabriel they’ll have 8 senior centre backs which is ridiculous. Imagine trying to sell that to a young player. Feel like we’re in a much better position here and don’t forget he was happy to come to us back in Feb so I’m sure he’d still be happy to come here.

Think we’re still well in this race personally.

They’ve also got that Mavropanos lad out on loan. Luiz and Saliba will be first choice for Arteta. Gabriel would have more chance of first team football here.

Mavropanos probably going to be sold to Mainz or Stuttgart with a buyback/sell-on clause.
Sokratis is on the way out.
Chambers like wise and possible Holding.
Mari and Mustafi are out till January, October/November respectively
So season starts we've got Luiz and an 18yr old Saliba.
I still think Malang Sarr will pop up in our targets soon.
He's left footed and most importantly availableon a free.
Lille players seem to do this with every transfer. Not surprised they make so much from transfers with the virtual auctions they run.
