Fundraising idea for the club

Ok, you remember the Million Dollar Homepage thing from a few years ago? Bloke split a webpage up into tiny squares, and people sponsored/bought a square for a few quid.

Kind of a naff idea, but it made him very rich. Well the Sydney Opera House is doing a similar thing. They're allowing people to 'buy' a tile on the largest fin of their roof for between 1-400 Aus $.

All told they're hoping to raise around $15 million from it. Folks that buy a square can decorate their virtual tile with a picture or message.

Got me thinking about Goodison. Could we do a similar thing with the roof? Would you buy a square of our roof?

The intention of the carpet baggers is to move to a new stadium asap. They're waiting for another mixed funding opportunity to finance that.

Get a few thousand to bet that we build a stadium in a few years. Build stadium. Use winnings to fund stadium construction.

From what I can tell, you don't actually get a real life sponsored tile on the roof, complete with your picture on it. That'd kinda ruin all those tourist shots from helicopters.

As I understand things, it's more of a virtual thing. People showing their support for the place etc.
