Full backs

Should a pair of good quality full backs be a priority?

Mykolenko is not garbage...he is good defensively and very strong physically. Very limited with the ball though which is a shame becauee his movement is good...had a decent second half to be fair.

Decent defensively when it's a backs against the wall job with 10 men behind the ball away from home.

In terms of ability on the ball, a candidate to be the worst footballer in the league. If you're a side pushing for Europe you simply can't carry a player that bad.

I reckon there are probably full backs in the championship who we could get for under 10m who would be miles better than our current options at the position

There's no excuse not to target the position in this transfer window.

The only reason I voted no is because I think we need a striker even more so than a FB. We are pretty good on clean sheets. Having Branthwaite back and pushing forward will help. Keeping Jake as a CB will help. Given our funds in the summer, I’d rather make two big splashes - one striker and another FB. I wouldn’t want to buy two backs and miss out on a striker while subjecting ourselves to another year of goalless misery.

I think you’ll find that January is a hard window…
