Am I right in saying we can sign a player outside the window if he's out of contract, a free agent ?

If that's the case what's available striker wise ?

We can.

However if we weren't prepared (quite rightly imo) to desperately go for any old striker in lieu of a proven goalscorer, I'm not sure released players would cut it. Why not try DCL?
