RIP. Always remember him from playing on the NY Cosmos and bossing it, despite being past his prime.

Saw him interviewed and always seemed a true gentleman as well. Interesting that 1860 Munich who pre seventies were the bigger club turned him down as a kid. Great book called Tor by Ulrich Hesse well worth a read regarding him, Bayern and German football generally.
