How can an Evertonian continue to back a man thats sending us down after spending £90 millions in the summer?

On top of that he's a Tory who's political ideology has damaged our city for generations.

It outstands me the support he's receives.

If he once upon time had managed Liverpool or was over 50 he'll have been legged weeks ago by the fans.
You mean the one you backed who was sacked 1 year ago for being in the same situation?

Why is this still being peddled? They were £12m each and McNeil was £4m upfront
More to the point why is this still being peddled? The way the fees are going down every time someone argues it they’ll both have been frees soon.

The fees were widely reported as being £15m and £20m, that’s why people use those figures. I don’t have access to the clubs finances so I use the figures that were reported. I very much doubt you do either, yet you apparently know the full breakdown of how much we’re paying and when.

Lad I’m not gonna tell you again, I’m not a red, you most definitely are. And keep my late dad’s name out your damn mouth or we’re really going to have a problem, you got me?
There are quite a few scum in this forum and you know who you are. I mean actual bad uncivilised human being. I was asked by Chris to smell my dead father’ balls yesterday and Moomin was so curious that he found info on the internet to show whether the decay body of my late father would smell I mean wtf and you call yourself a human? And I tell you lot what, you will get the same abuse from me because you talked and abused my late father. It’s a chain reaction.

Back to the topic, Sunday noon and Lampard is still at the helm. Why?

They shouldn't have been bought full stop. We'd have been better off using academy lads.
Can’t say I was delighted we signed them, same when we signed Rondon, Gray and Townsend - the drop off in quality has been massive. The trajectory was downward.

It’s not Lampard’s fault though, just as it wasn’t Benitez’ fault. There’s a much bigger picture. Impossible conditions to operate in because of the board - we’re left with cheap punts. We got blown out of the water in the summer for some of our higher targets by teams who should be way below us because they could put money down upfront and spend on big wages, same has happened in January.

I only backed Benitez until the new year when results were untenable.

People have a go at me because I had the bare cheek to give him a chance as the Everton manager, same as I gave Lampard.

Benitez had £1.7m budget and 8-10 key injuries and truth be told his points won earlier in the season ultimately kept us up last year as soft lad took over him and plunged us into the relegation spots.

Lampards had £85-90m budget, barely any key injuries bar Patterson and DCL and has a record worse than Benitez yet fans still call him a nice guy etc.

Baffling to me.

I don’t but I’m sure I read it was a small amount up front for McNeil and that the final fee would be in the £12-20m region

But I most definitely read that the fees were £15m and £20m, it was reported in almost every outlet at the time as being that. So I’m not sure why you thinking that you possibly might have read differently somewhere means that you can use that as a fact and claim everyone else is peddling rubbish.

It astounds me the support he's receives.

What's his political leanings, whatever they may be, got to do with him managing us on one of our worst run of results in recent history?

What he is (or isn't) doing on the training ground, dressing room and pitch is all that matter. For that, I do think it's time to move on to someone new.

Bringing in the rest merely reeks of point scoring and WUMery.

Because he genuinely is a nice guy, he’s not gone out his way to alienate the fans, he’s shown honesty and you can see in that video yesterday and in recent weeks how much it’s affecting him on a personal level
