Tarkowski plus another CB partner. That's how you get the best out of him.

Ditch the 3 CBs and go 443.

I want to give him more credit than that, he doesn't strike me as someone who couldn't adapt if asked. I understand wanting more security during this time but, if you've got players you feel you can trust, start working on what you want to do ASAP...I'd rather see it now than after the WC or something.

I'd put Keane and Tarkowski together.

Positives- there are none
Negatives- lots
Overall- we have gained as many points as I thought we would without a decent forward line.

That'll change this week (I hope) and our season starts next Saturday.

Frank has lots of support from fans based on not a lot of substance on the football pitch, I just hope that support doesn't deem him un-sackable and he sinks us into the football abyss

Think thats true, but Villa's set piece marking was also dreadful. Hard to think that most teams wouldn't have put something away in those chances.

Even with Villas 2 goals, Its hard to think the defense hasn't improved. Especially Coady made me feel far more assured. We wont concede 66 again. Maybe even controlling that end of the park to comfortable safety removed of the goal droughts on the other end.

But the question of what the manager is adding to results is personally still blank. I dont really care where we finish as long as we dont have to sweat post Christmas, but patterns of play and improvement of our longterm pieces I do expect and hope for. On that front Lampard continues to leave me unsure. That said its early goings.
