He's learning on the job and to be honest he's done ''enough'' so far. I'm just never sure what to expect from a Lampard team, does he have a preferred style of play but is hampered by the squad? Is he an attack minded manager? a defensive one? who knows.

The truth is, very few PL managers have their perfect team. It's the nature of the job. And at Everton he needs to start winning games on the regular and look like a footballing outfit whilst doing so.

I’d add Maupay in there to. And if funds were tight then it should have been one of Gueye or Garner. The focus was and always was some

We are desperate as an attacking team right now. Neither fullback can contribute to the attacking play. We don’t have a midfielder that can contribute goals. Our wide forwards are low quality and our number 9 is rusty

Those wide forwards options are so so bad, they’re so far off it. Nobody in midfield with an eye for a pass, goal threat. This is a direct result of selling our only quality forward who papered over so many cracks last season. Most of us worried at the start of the season about where the goals and creativity would come from and that’s panning out. We just need to survive this season and focus on attacking recruitment next window. Quality will improve us.
