If we sign 6-8 players on top of Patterson and Mykolenko establishing themselves in the starting 11 and we are still accepting 15th-17th then whats the excuse in your eyes ?

See im makng a point based on them both gettong the same points as each other on same games. Its 50/50 they both performed equally on points so can swap around and it's the same conclusion to the season.

What you are doing is coming at me with speculation. Things be different because of my franky good vibes.

I am just looking at the facts. Both got half season. Both got same points. Everything else is hersay and speculation.

You missed two facts!
One was started working pre season, results started ok - performances not generally great, then dropped like a stone after the worst points run in the clubs history!
The other, was picking up the pieces, started with a squad lacking in any belief or confidence which had lead to the worst points run in the clubs history and due in no small part to the previous manager! Turned it around and got the vast majority of the fans, apart from the obvious few, back on side!
Unless of course that’s all heresay and speculation!

The math doesn't add up there !!

The maths don't need to add up though, this season has to be about developing a way of playing and the players knowing their roles and being comfortable in that way of playing. Talk of top half finishes and the such like are nonsense imo, we are miles away from that at the moment.

I think it's because it's live-streamed. Re-uploading it after the fact would mean that if you didn't watch it live you'd have a gap of about 2-3 maybe more hours whilst you downloaded the video, edited, exported it, reuploaded it. Much better to just have the presser out since its time sensitive stuff.

The excuse is that our best player was sold, and not replaced at all, and our only other goalscorer can't stay fit.

My opinion is that the squad is clearly weaker as a whole, so 17th or above is acceptable.

You also didn't answer my question I notice....

You're talking rubbish mate lol attacking sense yes currently weaker but midfield and defence much stronger.

I'm not talking rubbish at all. The only person talking rubbish is the person demanding we challenge for 8th after almost getting relegated and losing our best player. The only reason you're demanding 8th is so you can turn round and tell everyone the manager failed.

We have zero goals in the team and that's a recipe for disaster for a team who just came 16th.

You just don't want to accept that as progress because you like the manager but deep down I think you have little faith in his ability as a manager otherwise you would be confident of him doing better than the worst manager of all time who he replaced.

Moyes finished 4th with Marcus Bent up top - and again im not saying or demanding 4th but this whole sudden excuse of no elite CF means we have to accept 16th is agenda driven guff mate.

I am very confident he will make us a far better side over the next few seasons, but no one can do it with these attacking resources, which are totally unacceptable for a club of our stature. This is going to take time, and demanding massive improvements in one season is completely unrealistic.

For me he has to be in the hunt for those 8th-12th spots.

Anything less is a massive failure with the new additions brought in considering Gana/Camera and 1-2 forward players are still likely to come in before the windows end.

The league isn't that great outside of 4-5 sides.

50 points would put us firmly in the 8-12 spots realistically (50 points would have top 12 since 2010 - i didnt look further back than that) so we actually agree on that ??

I don't think finishing 14th with 45 would be a massive failure though. It would have been 10 points clear last season, would show some progression and would account for players needing time to settle in with each other considering it nearly a full new 11 from 9 months ago. It would likely mean we are comfortably safe with multiple games to go instead of 1 game.
