Why is it surprising? Logically most people won’t believe we’re going to put a run together because we haven’t done for a long, long time. It’s possible that we’ll suddenly click and start winning, of course it is, but you’d have to be very strange to be unable to understand why people don’t expect it.

You're again relating to what people expect, what 'will' or 'is likely' to happen. That is all conjecture, it may or may not happen.
