I personally thought the decision was made post Brighton but he was being left to take the fall for the cup game rather than giving a new manager an away game at Old Trafford (an expected loss) for their first game.

But we showed some signs then and think he may now get saints.

If that’s the case, then fair enough.

But do you think they’d have followed through with that if our second hadn’t been offside?

I know we've been poor for a long time and a lot of that is on the manager, but I don't see why everyone is so keen to be rid of him. And yes, I know the numbers are terrible, but so is the team.

Due to the despicable mismanagement of the club, we have no money. No one, and I mean no one could keep this team in the league without additions- it's far too poor. So, thanks to the board, if we sack Lampard and his staff, it's safe to assume that we would have no money for incoming players.

So of the two options, surely it would be better to keep Lampard and try and get him some players this January, rather than sack him and bring someone in to work a miracle that no one could?

They shouldn't be the choices of course, but such is the state of the club.

We've won four games, one of them was against Fleetwood. I have zero idea how anyone can defend him, just because the board are incompetent doesn't mean Lampard is being hamstrung. Statically our worst since Mike Walker and if given a few more games he will no doubt eclipse him.

Us and West Ham clinging on to failing managers is quite strange.

Both clubs clearly think the devil they have is better than the devil they can get.

Suppose both are hoping they can cling to survival and in the Summer both have vastly better options.
