Benitez is a better manager than what we saw here he even did better with a much poorer Newcastle squad results speaking.

Ultimately he tried to change the culture/weed out the underpeformers in the backroom and the job became too big.

But from his sacrifice (some may say noble) Lampard doesn't have to deal with Donachie killing 3-4 players in training every week or Brands wasting millions on tat not suited to the physical demands of this league.

Long term it benefits us and leaves a much stronger foundation than say Martinez or Koemans tenures did.

Utter nonsense. Benitez’s ‘legacy’ is leaving us in a relegation dogfight

look at Coleman's movement and positioning from 1:04 onwards

at 1:20 both full backs are at the top of the pitch and there are 5 players all in a straight line ready to attack the 5 brentford defenders

Gomes drops off to help out defensively incase we lose possession to Brentford

At 1:30 coleman is still staying forward ahead of townsend

Gomes then plays a simple over the top ball into space for Tosun to latch onto which casues the Brentford defenders to panic and momentarily they lose their shape as Tosun draws a few defenders towards him creating space for the other everton players to move into. This is so similar to how henderson and fabinho play in the liverpool midfield just playing over the top balls for either mane or salah to run onto.

ive never seen our fullbacks stay that high up the pitch for that long

they normally just run straight back and play it back to pickford

the influence by lampard is already showing

We'll be nowhere near the bottom 3 come the seasons end and Lampard/the club will only benefit if Brands/Donachie are replaced with credible personnel.

Stop thinking so short term and look at the problems that have plagued the club for years and undermined numerous managers.

Really interested to see how he lines up tomorrow. Does he play it safe and go unchanged with Mina in for Godfrey. Or does he bring in De beek or Ali. It will give us an insight as to what type of manager he is and whether he adapts his team to the opposition. Or will he not want to change a winning team?

Few where surprised with his line up on Saturday myself included. But it turned out to be spot on.

Ive watched this about 12 times, absolutley boss and thanks for sharing. Inject it into my veins - proper controlled attacking football with brilliant movement off the ball - after just 1 week of training under the new gaffer and his team! It's incredible really considering what we've been served up this season.

More of this tomorrow & for the rest of the season please Fronk and the lads.

You mean the absolute constant stream of rubbish you insist on polluting the forum with since 2019? ?

Frank has already done more positive work in one week than your fat lover boy did the entire season.

The sad thing is Spadge is you lack self awareness - If it wasn't for @ForeverBlue92 you would be unheard of like you were from 2008/09 - 2021/22 until I kindly gave you some relevance - I deserve a thank you.

But yes great result and performance from Lampard and hopefully many more to come starting against the horse punchers ?

Accuses someone of lack of self awareness, refers to himself in the third person...

OK then.

I think you might have just quoted yourself. Have you been on the blubber again?

If Frank delivers us a run of victories you'll be done with him and the club like last time.
