Lampard clearly does have a philosophy of how he wants to play which he has shown at Derby and Chelsea - you can obviously argue about how successful he has been in those jobs...and it was clear that he wasn't particularly successful when these players tried the constant high press and playing from the back.
I think it's to his credit though that when that philosophy obviously wasn't yielding results for us he has changed tact to be difficult to beat and playing more on the break, which against Newcastle/United/Leicester/Chelsea has yielded us much-needed points. I am all for the short term approach to just get points by any means necessary right now.
I imagine if he keeps us up, he will go back to his preferred way of playing next season, with hopefully a competent transfer strategy to support him get players that will be able to do so.
