Odd substitutions / lack of proactive subs/changes.

Cock ups from the usual suspect players of ours like Keane and Holgate.

Inability from our medical team to keep our players fit.

If we go down Lampard and the players take as much of the blame as Benitez.

We'll see in the next 7 games if thats still the case but ultimately you cant keep blaming the past when Lampard has had nearly half the season to sort us out.

We were in the bottom 3 when Alladyce joined and finished in 8th.

Lampard took over in 16th and has us 17th.

Lampard increasingly looks like he wasn’t the right man at the right time. But it was Benitez that set fire to the boat before he pushed it out to sea.

His whole game plan for the 2nd half of the season was based around DCL digging him out of trouble - and we’ve seen very clearly that DCL was never going to make that happen.

The last 4 month you could see what was coming (losing against all the crap teams at home, getting worse and worse with every single game). The only surprise was that Benitez managed to get very good 2 month out of them!

Personally I agree with you, despite all the problems, Lampard has had enough games and enough players to do vastly better than he has.

Im not trying to absolve Benitez of any blame - if we go down he takes 50% of the blame but Lampard has to take the other half because they have both had roughly half a season each to push us forward.

Now the players also take responsibility as they have been a shambles all season under both managers.

Very good 2 months? We’ve been absolutely awful since the 4th game and we weren’t even very good in the first 4.

We got 10 points in 4 games and then 9 in 15. Fairly clearly we’ve been awful for that period.

Carlo seems to have had a lot of 'luck' in his career. fatso has a history of leaving teams far worse off than when he arrived
