I like him as a guy and player but as a manager at Derby & Chelsea he under achieved big time, not sure why he was brought in

Hope the best for him but we can't play as open as we did, should of got Nuno

That was as bad as anything we have seen all season. Lampard got selection totally wrong, Gomes was always getting destroyed in this game and he wilted from the first whistle. Also wrong to select Townsend at lwb was hideous mistake. Patterson at least would have offered a natural fb albeit on the wrong side. The players were simply not up for the fight that was inevitably coming from the home side. We have major job on our hands starting sat as that side doesn't look like it's winning many games.

Yep regardless what happens we stick with him as far as I'm concerned.

He's seen the real Everton tonight and that's a gang of shythouses who haven't got the bottle for a scrap.

Absolutley spot on.

The calibre of players bought by Koeman and Brands and Silva and Ancelotti were so pathetically scouted they may have cost us our top flight status.

If Lampard keeps us up he has earned every penny he's getting.

It’s easy ‘relatively speaking’ to play the style Lampard wants at home to Brentford in a cup game with no pressure - and one that Brentford probably didn’t care too much about losing.

Totally different ball game trying to do that tonight in a relegation scrap away against Newcastle.

The amount of times we gave the ball away was proof that the players can’t do it under pressure. We Got a gift of a goal and all they had to do was be sensible and take the sting out of the crowd up to half time…and Holgate plays a silly ball and gomes doesn’t even attempt to mark at a corner.

Newcastle looked such a better team with players like wood , joelinton, st maximim giving everything. Hell even lascelles who is utter dross has twice the mentality of Michael Keane.

Lampard has to go with his best eleven in a 433 for me and just hope that we win enough games. Coleman can’t be starting games anymore - he offers zilch going forward and isn’t that much of a defensive asset.

He was under a transfer embargo for the first part of his managerial career at Chelsea and did a very good job.

The Championship is a very difficult league to get out of and he lost in the playoff final.

Hardly say he has under achieved in his short time as a manager.

Positives - van de beek looked like he will be a good link up player, Gordon looked good again, negatives, alli looked ballooned after about three minutes, grey out, Mina out.

i think against leeds we need a hard working midfield to protect our eggshell fragile defence hopefully have a front line of richy, dcl and gordon.

Problem is, I don't see where is this midfield is coming from ?

Whatever you think of El Ghazi, Dele and VDB - they aren't midfield warriors as far as I know - that is what we should have been looking for in the window.

I'll try and not get too despondent, we know many of our players are brittle physically and mentally but we are just going to have to support them regardless and scrape some wins.
