He's basically their Duncan Ferguson. They just need a uniter in the dug-out to get the fans back onside until season's end, he'll do that. If he wins a few games then it will (wrongly) help repair his shattered managerial reputation and increase his chances of getting another gig either, in the summer or once sacking season starts in 24/25.
It's a shrewd move IMO, both parties have nothing to lose but a lot to gain from a short-term arrangement.

This is hilarious. I've spent the last 10 minutes laughing. Who'd have thunk after getting sacked from us he'd have ended up at Chelsea before the season ends? It's a pity they're not that wee bit closer to relegation as I think he'd have taken them down. Horrible club.
