The hard working performance at Blackburn was no fluke and the fans were jubilant hoping they could go to in form MK Dons and steal the three points. Ferguson said he asked the players for the same level of determination shown in the cup to be on show in the league as we entered the business end of the League One season. After a gruelling 120 minutes of football, players were rotated, Josh Ferguson and Brett McGavin were included, Feeney earned a rest and there was a debut for Andy Hasler. John Jones almost came close to breaking the deadlock with a dipping free-kick that almost beat the keeper. Moran took ther corner on 54 minutes, Swaine headed the ball into the six yard box, John Jones tried to get his foot to it but Daniel Jones played it to Cottingham and he shot into ther sea of bodies, it took a deflection and beat Dube to make it 1-0. Declan Marshall and Vince Bytheway were on to try and salvage something in the last 5 minutes, Marshall came forward through the centre, he hit the shot on his right foot but it was wide of the goal. The match went into stoppage time, Stockbridge crossed into the box and O'Neill helped it back to McKimm-Forster, he played it wide to Greg Taylor who crossed low into the box and Bytheway smashed it low into the bottom corner! 1-1! Seconds were left and Fylde had theit noses up, Taylor passed to McGavin and he pumped it into the path of Bytheway who got there and crossed in low but it was cleared away. A point rescued for Fylde which is not a bad result away at MK Dons.

Struggling Ipswich would feel confident in stealing the points at Mill Farm at an underperforming Fylde who have slipped dramatically to 9th in the League One table. Mark Morton was ruled out for six weeks with a hernia so Stockbridge had the chance to claim the right back spot where he has done well when played this season. Tyrone O'Neill had 5 goals in 29 games and was rightfully dropped to the bench for Jack Quinn. Henderson sent the corner in on 3 minutes but it was clared away in the pouring rain, Quin got it to Wilson, he played in Henderson but he was tackled, Bytheway picked up the loose ball in the box and knocked it on the outside of the box to Stockbridge, he tried to work the shot but passed to Wilson, who took it on his right foot and belted it from 20 yards into the back of the net! An early lead for Fylde! Jordan Wilson was playing incredibly well but went down with a knee injury on 22 minutes. He was taken off as precaution for Ellis McKimm-Forster. John Jones took the ball by his own area and brought it forward for Uttridge, he passed it wide left to Henderson and he was off running forward, he played a great cutting through ball for Bytheway who slotted into the bottom left corner! 2-0 Coasters! Henderson seemed to be troubled with a foot injury but he didn't want to go off, the magic was still in his feet as he danced forward, cutting inside and across the face of the box, he blasted the shot on his right foot, the keeper got a hand to it but the power managed to take it behind and in! 3-0 to Fylde! Fylde are back! Henderson went off on 65 minutes for O'Neill to a thunderous applause around the stadium. The winger was sublime again. Fylde hit Ipswich on the counter, O'Neill came down the left and played it to Declan Marshall, he made a nice pass for Jack Quinn to run on to and he slotted to make it 4-0! Some dampening news came on 89 minutes, McKimm-Forster had already been booked, was late with his tackle and got his second yellow card. Stockbridge had another fantastic game at right back and was playing some good balls forward for Jack Quinn to chase in dangerous areas. The right back seemed to have developed very well over the years. The game was over and Fylde recorded their first win in the league since 13th December! What a way to get it with a demolition job of Ipswich! There was some bad news in the light of the victory and Euan Henderson was ruled out for 3 weeks with a foot problem. McKimm-Forster was suspended for the match against Crystal Palace and Patrick Uttridge was to be out with a groin injury.

DF: Today was fantastic, that was exactly what I wanted to see and I want to see more of it. We've got a tough F.A Cup match in three days and we have a few injuries hampering us. I will assess the squad before the game and use the players available to me.

It's the furthest Fylde have been in the competition and a place in the quarter finals was up for grabs. With injuries and suspensions taking its toll, it was McGavin and Wilson in midfield with Tyrone O'Neill and Vince Bytheway on the flanks with Jack Quinn up front. 16 minutes in, Wilson was bringing the ball forward, he played it to Stockbridge and he pumped it long but it was headed away, Bytheway picked it up and played it to Josh Ferguson who found space for himself outside the box and hit the shot with his left foot, it went in! What a start for Fylde! 1-0 up at Selhurst Park! The away supporters have gone berzerk! Jones brought the ball down the left, he passed it to Tyrone O'Neill and he found Jordan Wilson outside the box, Wilson took a touch and unleashed the shot to make it 2-0! Into the bottom corner! Fylde are in dreamland! There was a nervy moment for Fylde on 34 minutes and Jones deflection caused Dube to panic and he fumbled the ball out for a corner. Frank crossed in but McPherson headed away, Neville picked it up but was tackled by Ferguson, Wilson carried the ball out and got it wide to Bytheway to avert the danger. The sides go in at half-time and Fylde are 45 minutes from an F.A Cup Quarter Final. What a statement it would be if they could see this out at Selhurst Park. Two minutes into the second half, Fylde were passing it nicely in the middle but being very cautious, Wilson played it to Ferguson who sent his marker the wrong way with a beautiful turn, he passed to Tyrone O'Neill and he shot on his right foot low into the bottom right corner! It's three! This is remarkable! A goal for O'Neill which is probably his most important to date! Crystal Palace are in complete shock. Jones played it to McGavin on 60 minutes, he found Josh Ferguson on the edge of the box, the crowd urged him to shoot, with a touch to Bytheway inside the area, he got it on his left foot and drilled it home! It's four! Surely The Coasters are in the last eight! John Jones tried his luck from the free-kick, the keeper palmed it away, Josh Ferguson got there first and slotted to make it 5-0! It really is an unbelievable cup tie here at Selhurst Park. Crystal Palace have just not got going at all. With 20 minutes to go, Josh Ferguson came off to a roar from the away fans and was even clapped by the home supporters to be replaced by Declan Marshall. Jordan Wilson was the next player to come off and was replaced by Sean Jones who can operate in the middle as well as the wing. The away fans were in excellent voice in the remaining ten minutes and the Palace fans were leaving. They have made history tonight. The whistle was blown and the crowd was in full voice. The players were delighted, Ferguson was on the pitch and went straight over to the visiting supporters. What a night for Fylde in London! Into the F.A Cup Quarter Final!

DF: I'm delighted! Extremely delighted! It was the performance of the season, every single one of them. We never stopped and we were confident in front of goal, the first goal gave us the belief that we could go on to win this tie. I'm proud tonight, I'm proud to be one of them and to be enjoying it with them!

Is the quarter final draw going to be live mate?

FERGUSON: ARSENAL WILL REMEMBER US

Duncan Ferguson was asked questions after the cup draw about his thoughts on drawing one of the biggest teams in English football. "Arsenal are a massive club, they won the Europa League in 2026 but haven't enjoyed league success since 2004. Tata Martino has a great squad and they are obvious favourites for this but they will be up against a challenge, we will not be a pushover and Mill Farm is not like the stadiums they are used to playing in. They will know they are in a game and regardless of the result they will remember AFC Fylde. We have an advantage as they play Everton on the Thursday before the match in the Europa League so we have a few extra days to recover and be prepared. We are not in this cup to make up the numbers, we are in the last 8 and if we stick to the gameplan we can be going to Wembley."
