Former Everton Centre Forward Duncan Ferguson steps into management.....

What are they doing in training ffs and is maccas ma involved in any way?

Hendo has a restraining order on my mum after she tried to fist him in Greggs.

Honestly, some people can't just take a light hearted joke. I did say to me mum that rubbing chilli powder on her fingers might be taking it a bit too far but you know how she is once she has an idea (ball) in her head

I can confirm this is true. 250 feet tho I definitely got a whiff of her distinctive musk, chilli powder and sausage rolls, when I was in Primark the other day.

Chesterfield vs AFC Fylde
15th April 2031

=Chesterfield result.webp

The bank holiday weekend was rounded off with 4th against 7th. Chesterfield and Fylde both on 70 points and a win was a must for both teams. After the surprise defeat against Exeter a few days earlier, the fans are still protesting against owner Kevin Ward and his running of the football club. Many fans feel a change of manager may be required but the majority are still in full support of Duncan Ferguson. It has been a long time since Fylde tasted victory and a loss could see them slip as low as 10th in the table which would ultimately end hopes of a play-off finish. Josh Maja started for Fylde in place of Tyrone O'Neill in the hope of getting the goals to win the game. Fylde were doing well and taking the sting out of the Chesterfield attack, the ball was sent in for Wilson on 18 minutes and Stockbridge obstructed him giving a penalty away to Chesterfield. Tavernier just managed to beat Dube who almost got his hands to it but it's not the start Fylde needed. Josh Ferguson pulled up on 44 minutes clutching at his groin and in the end had to go off, another blow for Fylde. Tyrone O'Neill got stripped and was on. Adrian Pirone went down on 48 minutes and had to leave the field. Another injury for Fylde and things could not possibly get any worse for the club. Victor Oto'o came on and went on the right with Maja going to the left and Bytheway up top. Bret McGavin won the loose ball with a few minutes to go catching Chesterfield up the pitch, Wilson took the ball for Fylde and played it wide to John Jones who cut into the box from the left and tried to score from a tight angle but the keeper kept it out. Last chance for Fylde on 95 minutes, Jones took the corner, Alan O'Neill won the header and sent it towards the bottom corner, Bytheway came in late but couldn't meet the ball. That was the chance!

DF: McGavin, Ferguson and Pirone are all out for the remainder of the season and this leaves us with practically no chance of reaching the play-offs. The injury list is massive and we'll struggle to get through the next three matches.

AFC Fylde vs MK Dons
19th April 2031

=MK Dons result.webp

Fylde came up against MK Dons who were three points ahead of Fylde in 4th position. The play-off positions were tight and it could go right down to the last game of the season. Jordan Wilson done well to go past Cooper on 11 minutrs and tried a long range shot but the keeper kept it out. The curse of injuries struck again on 23 minutes when Jordan Wilson was involved in a bad challenge and had to leave the field with injury. Ferguson had a lack of options so decided to go with Oto'o and Maja up top. Tyrone O'Neill brought the ball forward, he switched it to Bytheway and he crossed into the box for Declan Marshall but he headed well over the bar. Fylde were defending well with O'Neill and Feeney solid as a rock at the back. Rodney showed some brilliance for MK Dons just before half-time he turned Stockbridge played it to the danger man Seb Cooper who you can't allow space and he buried it into the bottom corner with a minute to go in the half. Fylde just need that goal to boost their confidence Oto'o tried his luck but it was saved and Tyrone O'Neill was played in by Maja and his shot was also saved. Josh Maja indicated to the bench he couldn't carry on and it's another injury for Fylde. This is really bizarre. Sean McGowan was on for only his second Fylde appearance. Fylde looked for the goal, they got it wide to Bytheway who played it in low for Victor Oto'o! He poked it home! 1-1! John Jones played a lovely ball through the middle for Victor Oto'o, he was one on one and it was saved. Six minutes added on, Fylde have been very impressive this second half but just could find the winning goal. Bytheway picked up the deflection from the shot in his own half and played it down the right for Victor Oto'o, Bytheway asked for it back and he played in McGowan whose shot was over the bar. Stockbridge made a great tackle inside his area and played it long for Tyrone O'Neill who was onside, O'Neill waited for support and played it back to Okoroji, he tried the cross but it was cleared by Richards. The whistle is blown and its a point apiece. Fylde will be unhappy they could not win the match but there are positives to take.

DF: That was a much better display, we are ravaged with injuries but we came together and played really well in the second half. I think it's too late in the season to make the play-offs and it has been our own undoing. Injuries haven't helped but this is down to us as a club why we have thrown this away. Jordan Wilson won't play again this season but Euan Henderson is close to making a return.
