Duncan Ferguson called on the supporters to make the atmosphere an intimidating one for Sheffield United. Tom Hadler started his third match of the season due to Neil Foster suffering an injured calf in training. The throw was taken by Wisdom and Bytheway dummied it for Josh Ferguson who broke into the box and hit the bar with a left footed shot after 2 minutes. Wisdom played it to Coe outside the box, Bytheway received it with his back to goal, turned and played in Tyrone O'Neill who slotted to make it 1-0! Great finish by O'Neill! Coe played it to Jamieson on 35 minutes and he crossed for Henderson who was in space but he headed just wide, it looked like it was goal bound. Hadler played it long to Henderson on 41 minutes, he played it to Alan O'Neill who pumped it long into the box and Bytheway got there ahead of the defender and put it across the keeper and into the net! Fylde are really dominating here today! Wisdom punted the free-kick into the box on 50 minutes, Henderson got up for header and was denied by the post, nobody was there to knock it in, Henderson really trying to get on the scoresheet today. Sheffield United brought on two good players in Aquart and Josey both on loan and summer targets of Duncan Ferguson but Fylde defended brilliantly and Tom Hadler showed why he should be in contention for the number 1 shirt. It was a fantastic win for Fylde but the news was dampened when Barnsley beat Hull City with a last minute winner to put them three points ahead of Fylde.

4th place Middlesbrough travelled to Accrington to take on Fylde who were battling for points for survival. Tom Hadler kept his place in goal after a good performance a few days earlier against Sheffield United. Middlesbrough were attacking well in the opening 15 minutes and Jay Chapman squared it for Aiden O'Neill who blasted it into the net to give the visitors the lead. A minute later Wisdom launched the free-kick into the box 35 yards out, Bytheway got it down and played it to Josh Ferguson but he was fouled and Fylde got the penalty! Euan Henderson had the chance to level the score and the keeper guessed right and saved it! A deflating moment for Fylde! A few minutes later Charley Coe won the ball in midfield, he played it right to Bytheway and he crossed to the back post to Henderson who nodded it down and Tyrone O'Neill put it in! 1-1! It was an end to end match and Middlesbrough brought the ball forward with Woods and Jamieson tripped him on the edge of the box, was he inside? The referee convered with his officials and pointed to the spot. Milton stepped up for Middlesbrough, Hadler kept it out with a top save! Roger Mawson went for the follow up and was tackled by Okoroji. What a dramatic game inside the first 30 minutes. 33 minutes gone, Wisdom pumped the free-kick into the box but it was cleared and Middlesbrough were on the counter, Jay Chapman took the ball down the right and he found Ojo on the other side who played in Roger Mawson to put it past Hadler and put his team back in front. Fylde showed fight and Josh Ferguson saw his shot go narrowly over the bar on 35 minutes and a minute later Wisdom found Bytheway from the corner who had a free header and he put it wide! Euan Henderson was limping and couldn't carry on, Ojo fed the ball through for David Brown and he slotted to make it 3-1. Henderson was replaced by Barry Sargent. It got worse and three minutes later Max Milton took the ball centrally, 20 yards out and hit a swerving shot the rocked the goal, Middlesbrough on fire in the second half. Rogers had the shot from outside the box which Hadler got down to save comfortably. He pumped the ball long and Barry Sargent vhased it down getting it under control and putting the ball into the top left corner! It wasn't to be a magnificent comeback today and Fylde suffered defeat which leaves them in 23rd place two points from safety.

At least its in our hands, unless it falls out of our hands then its not in our hands. Which makes me think, was it in our hands at all? What happens if the other team think they have it in their hands but we say we've got it in our hands at the same time. What exactly is it we have in our hands as well? Is it a hot potatoe so we don't want it in our hands ( unless wearing some thick gloves) so we chuck it to the opposition and then they're like "fck this I don't want this in my hands" and we're like "sound its cooled down a bit now so we'll have it back in our hands".

Lots of hands, multiple fingers, could get messy, leads me to a great song

He's that good with his money I payed him back for the chips even though I payed for them. So he's double dipped and then took an extra fiver as interest on the loan

Brentford vs AFC Fylde

The first of two bank holiday fixtures was a trip South to play Brentford. Alan O'Neill picked up an inury in training so Mohammed partnered Feeney at the back. It was a good showing from Fylde in the first half but they couldn't find the breakthrough until 36 minutrs when Bytheway played in the cross and Henderson was there to knock it in! Fylde go in front away at Brentford! It was 1-0 to Fylde going in at half-time but there was still another 45 minutes to play. Tim Robinson took control of the ball on the right of the Fylde area and shimmied towards Okoroji but he tripped him and conceded the penalty. Duncan Ferguson was furious on the touchline. Okoroji was shown a yellow card. Amoako stepped up and put the ball low into the back of the net levelling for Brentford. There was seconds remaining for Fylde to snatch a winner, Oto'o came forward and played it wide to Jamieson on the edge of the box, he crossed into the six yard box but the keeper claimed the ball. The referee called an end to the match and Fylde took a point. At this stage they will need results to go their way.

DF: We controlled the game and were on course for the win but due to a moment of madness from Chima we dropped two points. He will be the first player to say he made a mistake but we need to switch on for our next game in three days against Swansea.
