ALLAWAY JOINS FYLDE!

The big news has broke and Duncan Ferguson swooped in to pull off a coup of a signing. Sam Allaway who was on loan at Wrexham last season scoring over 30 goals in the National League was not offered a new contract by parent club Birmingham City. The player is now set to join up with Ferguson and Fylde and bolsters the Fylde attack and can help push The Coasters towards the title.​

PAUL TOWNSEND EXTENDS LOAN

Paul Townsend has extended his loan at Fylde for another season. Barnsley are keen for the striker to keep developing under Duncan Ferguson and his coaching team

Due to the injury of Sam Allaway, Ferguson has acted quickly and been in contact with officials at Cardiff City over striker Christian Hutson. The 18 year old played 13 times on loan in League Two for Barnet scoring 3 goals. The striker is currently on international duty with Wales U19's and will link up with Fylde at the end of July.

DF: Sam was a massive signing for us and we are all gutted about losing him for almost 12 months. He's suffered a career threatening injury and we wish him all the best in his recovery. He is due to see a specialist and will keep everyone updated on his progress. ​
 

PRE-SEASON 2026/27 RESULTS

DF: I'll quickly mention about any injuries we've picked up over pre-season. As everyone is aware, Sam Allaway is going to be missing for the season, his surgery went well and now he is back at home recovering. We will update on his progress in some months time. Christian Hutson will miss the first month of the season, he has a groin injury. We've been monitoring Euan Henderson and Mick Wisdom but they are fit and ready for the openng match against Scunthorpe United. I've been happy with the results, it gives us the confidence and the momentum to take with us into the new season. The new signings are settling in well and they have adapted to the squad over the summer.

David Chester is a left back signed from Everton on a free transfer. The 18 year old from Runcorn came through the Everton youth academy and likes to get forward as often as he can. The defender is also a penalty taker scoring two penalties in pre-season. ​
